  1. Time of Use can be configured up to 4 seasons, 12 months, Flexible setup of billing periods/rates/holidays/schedules ,Up to 16 configurable datasets consisting of 38 channels of data, including all energy channels and readings per quadrant and phase, and pulse aggregators, Cumulative and continuous cumulative demand.
  2. Standard KYZ Pulse Outputs/Inputs & up to eight optional pulse outputs that allow it to deliver energy pulses to a separate recorder, RTU, or other type of energy data collector. Meter can also function as a recorder, by accepting up to eight optional pulse inputs. Energy values can be logged by the meter’s internal profiling memory, for energy flow analysis over time, which is useful for billing, planning, and/or circuit efficiency analysis. The input values can also be totalized in the meter’s aggregators.
  3. Advanced communication with ability to send data to multiple software systems, providing real time information as well as stored interval measurements. Meter can communicate with an RTU to bring SCADA information back via one protocol, while itself being evaluated by other software systems for interval or power quality analysis. Better Communication for Advanced Smart Substation Applications.
  4. Role-based Cyber Security with IP Whitelisting and Password and username Encryption ,Role-based authorization , Anti-tampering system events log, Port control for Ethernet option cards and Hardware locks and sealing switch to prevent remote tampering

Waveform/Fault Recorder:

To protect critical billing information, the meter records and logs the following with a time stamp:

Simultaneous Voltage and Current Waveform Recorder

EIG meters provide the pre-fault and post-fault event recording / Waveform records are programmable to the desired sampling rate.

The meter’s advanced DSP design allows Power Quality triggers to be based on a 1 cycle updated RMS. The meter stores waveform data in a first-in/first-out circular buffer to insure data is always recording. The unit records up to 512 or 1024 or up to 50 MHz samples per cycle for a voltage sag or swell or a current fault event depending up on various models.

Waveforms at a sampling rate of up to 1024 samples/cycle on multiple power quality events, including surges, sags, and transients. 16-bit A/D conversion provides precise waveform resolution. Both voltage and current recording offer pre- and post-event analysis. Fault recording offers eight times full-scale capture capability. Waveform recording for wideband frequencies is also supported. You can program both hardware and software triggers to record a waveform. View waveforms through Communicator PQA ® software, the meter’s web browser, or the EnergyPQA.com® cloud-based energy management system. You can also download the waveforms to third party software for analysis. Analyze the waveforms to determine the source of power quality anomalies and then take steps to remedy the situation.

Power Quality Measurement:

Power quality Measurement becomes basic necessity with many sectors are coming with various power electronics, solar power, and wind power , furnaces, SMS etc. Monitoring Power quality continuously is the only way to identify as well as understanding source of problems for rectification.
